Connection Difficulties
Here are a few trouble shooting tips.
If you are running a version of a Microsoft Windows, or a
BSD/*NIX variant ™ and see only a broken link icon, you will need to download a copy of the Java™ Virtual Machine in order to run our application. You may download Java™ Support for your browser from the link below:
* Sun Java™ Plugin http://www.java.com/en/
We strongly recommend upgrading using the most modern version of your web browser available today. Certain browsers (esp. Netscape 5 and below) running on Macintosh platforms are not capable of running our software due to issues outside of our control. We recommend that Macintosh users use Netscape 7.0, or MSIE 5.x. As WebTV does not support Java™, WebTV users will not be able to access our chat rooms. We recommend that Apple Macintosh users upgrade to OS X 10.3 or later.
Users behind firewalls may need to make changes in their
firewall settings to use the rooms.
AOL Members: Some users have reported that the built-in AOL browser has difficulty connecting to our service, or does not load colors/emoticons properly. To resolve this, minimize your AOL connection, and use the Internet Explorer browser that came with your operating system to access our chat rooms.
If you originally logged in USING a Pass
word you will NEED to use that pass word every time
afterward. Passwords are not required but once created
need to be used with every visit.
** Easy 1 time fix to by pass this EXAMPLE:
If you
entered as the name Mary with a
password and cannot remember it for 1 time just add and
extra letter to the name such as Mary1 or MaryS.
This created a new temporary user name.
Once in the room you can use your mouse's right side
button to widen the chat area or scroll it down if you
cannot see the typing area.
You may also choose the float button. This open the chat
on it's own page.
All users who use the rooms are shown on our chat
logs.
In the last year we have had 1
guest who emailed us they could not access a room. But
as shown in the chat logs was able to enter the room and
type in it several times.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- Our
rooms also give you the option to person-to-person
chat with others in the room. Simply
click on the persons name.
As with giving you the option to be in more than one
room at a time - you can person-to-person chat with
others and all of the tabs will show up along the
top of the chat box for your convenience to click
back and forth.
-
If
you ever need additional help, contact the room rep or
contact: help@themouseconnection.com
and someone will reply as soon as possible.
Room owners ONLY may call .during daytime hours PST.
All room owners are given the telephone number with room
welcome letter
Networking
with others is the key to succeeding. Building a
community in which we can network together is what The
