Book
5 to Stay Alive
Every
Monday morning take a look at your calendar 5 weeks out.
Decide how many shows you want to hold each week.
Increase that number by 1 just in case there are
cancellations. The number of shows you should hold
is different for everyone, each consultant has to decide
what is right for them and for their schedule. When
you are at your shows that week you will be booking shows
and will need to book 1 in the next 4 weeks.
Remember that our Hostess Program states that 1 booking is
to be held within 30 days and all subsequent bookings
held within 60 days. If you can book more than just
1 in those 4 weeks, even better! However, your next
goal should be to book shows during that week 5.
Ok....
now you come to next Monday. That now becomes week 1
and you again look 5 weeks out. During the shows you
hold that week, you will be booking shows with at least 1
in the next 4 weeks. Any other shows, you try to get
booked in that week 5.
What happens if you don't have any shows that week?
That just means you need to get on the phone, make your
2+2 calls to book the number of shows you want to hold
each week during that week 5. That is, unless they
want to have it sooner... even better!
Ok...
here we are again on Monday morning, this is the 3rd
Monday. You do the same thing and book your shows in
week 5.
Now... to the 4th Monday morning... do the same thing and
book your shows in week 5. While sitting here
looking at your calendar, at the very minimum, the next 3
weeks should be full of the bookings you want to hold.
By the end of week 5, your calendar should be FULL of
bookings for the next 5 weeks!!
Wouldn't every consultant in your unit want to have a full
calendar in the next 5 weeks? This plan will
definitely promote consistency. Isn't it a whole lot
of fun when you don't have to worry about bookings?
Even better, your consultants should be turning in shows
every week and thus get a paycheck EVERY week!
For new consultants - this is a great way to help them
with calendar control! Most new consultants book
shows at the mercy of the hostess. If you can teach
a new consultant to book shows ONLY when they WANT to hold
them, then they will be a much happier consultant.
If they miss out on family activities because they have to
do a show, then they will eventually become discouraged
and probably quit. Teach them to decide how many
shows they want to hold each week and each month.
Then yes this plan to guide them to book the shows when
they can and want to hold them.
For leaders - implementing the Book 5, Stay Alive plan is
an excellent way to build up your own personal business.
How many times have you heard that in order to REALLY be a
successful leader, you need to have a strong personal
business FIRST! You know how many shows you want to
hold each week, now it's at least DOUBLED! I don't
mean to double it by working your tail-end off and doing 6
shows a week when you only want to hold 3! I mean
that you plan to double book the days you want to hold
shows. By double booking dates, this will FORCE you
to do more dovetailing to the VIPs in your unit. It
benefits you as a leader TREMENDOUSLY to dovetail!
We all know dovetailing will benefit the consultant who
does the show, however it will also benefit you as a
leader and your income
